Remember the Land of Lemurs exhibit last year? This year, it’s all about pandas!
Calgary Zoo will open the new Panda Passage exhibit featuring four giant pandas on May 7, 2018.
The’ll be relocated from the Toronto Zoo, where they have spent the last five years as part of a 10-year agreement Ottawa and China signed in 2012. The zoo is also completing construction on a new suspension bridge, new food concessions, widened pathways, and an expanded parking lot.
The Calgary Zoo is the second largest zoo in Canada after the Toronto Zoo. The panda exhibit is expected to generate $18 million in revenue for Calgary.
