Anyone that has played sports before, knows the connection to travelling with your team and how close you get to be while travelling. After the tragedy with the Humboldt Broncos, support was poured out from many players and coaches from various leagues, as well individual team support from certain NHL Teams. The Winnipeg Jets and Chicago Blackhawks wrapped up their regular season this past Saturday, but their uniforms looked a bit different for the games.
Typically, players will have a name bar of their last name on their back. Not for this game. Both the Jets and the Blackhawks replaced their name bars with ones that had the word “Broncos” in support of Humboldt. Apart from this, teams across the WHL had stickers on their helmets that were the logo of the Broncos to show support, as well gathered with their opposing team at centre ice before the game for a moment of silence to honour those that were lost in the crash.
