LETHBRIDGE - Trying to get a free meal has resulted in charges against a Lethbridge man.

Just before 6pm on Monday, a man left a south side restaurant without paying and when confronted by staff, he pulled out a switchblade.

No one was injured and police arrested a suspect in the area a short time later.

27-year-old Jason Cameron North Peigan has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public and obtaining food/beverage/accommodation by fraud.
