LETHBRIDGE- The second degree murder case against 52-year old Michael Desmarais appears to be almost over.

Desmarais was the main suspect in the murder of Gordon Mills back in 1992 near the Crowsnest Pass, however before they could proceed to trial, Desmarais was convicted on another murder charge in the U.S.

He finished his sentence and was sent back to Canada in June and will appear in a Lethbridge courtroom Friday, where Desmarais' lawyer says the case will be resolved.
