We still remember the day like it happened yesterday. April 6, 2018, the lives of 29 people would be changed forever when their team bus was hit by a semi. The Humboldt Broncos accident still hurts to think about and still stings for many that knew that life on the road of sport.
September 12 will be a day to remember. That’s the day the Humboldt Broncos step onto the ice for a new season with a new team and new coaches. For a couple of the boys on this team, it will be a very emotional day.
Derek Patter and Brayden Camrud were two of the survivors of the crash and are set to return to the Broncos once again this year. For some, the thought of getting back into the rink may be difficult, but for these two, its very important that they do. For these boys, its a matter of representing the 29 people total that were on that bus that fatal Friday evening.
You have the chance to watch the Humboldt Broncos season opener. TSN is broadcasting the game which starts at 5:30 our time.
