Being afraid of certain objects is understandable. People deal with fears of spiders, snakes, heights, the dark and so many more, but one fear for a few people is needles. It’s flu shot season, and kids typically aren’t fans of getting needles. Well some places have come up with a creative way to distract those kids from the shots.
It has been growing in popularity ever since it came around, so it makes perfect sense as to why flu shot clinics would be using it. Kids get the chance to check out something new while getting their flu shots! This idea was started by doctors in Brazil to help out with that fear that some kids face when it comes to needles.
This is a creative process as well. When a patient goes into the room, they get the head set, and the doctor is able to track where they are in the little video to make sure everything lines up perfectly with a certain point in the video which is the spot where the patient gets the shot.
